Convenient Access from Southampton
Two state roads, Street Road and Jacksonville Road, link Southampton with Hatboro Horsham Family Dental in about 10 minutes. Neighbors who want a dentist near Southampton without a highway merge or a toll will find our two dentists in Hatboro handling checkups, urgent visits, sedation and Invisalign in one office. Wednesday appointments run until 7:00 PM for anyone who works a full day.
Begin at the township administration building, 939 Street Road, and head northwest on Street Road (PA 132) for about 3 miles. Turn southwest onto Jacksonville Road (PA 332) and follow it about 1.6 miles into Hatboro, where it becomes East Montgomery Avenue. A right on North Penn Street and a left on East Monument Avenue bring you to 122 N York Rd Ste 2, Hatboro, PA 19040. Altogether it is about 4.9 miles, and the office location on Google Maps can give you live turn-by-turn guidance.
The Southampton Free Library sits right beside the township building on Street Road, so a library stop and a dental visit pair easily. Second Street Pike (PA 232), the old farm-to-market road where the village's shops grew up, crosses the community north to south. Families in Ivyland and Bryn Athyn come to us from other directions, and each has its own page.
Small-Town Southampton, a Short Drive From Our Chairs
Southampton is an unincorporated community in Upper Southampton Township, Bucks County, not to be confused with Lower Southampton Township, home of Feasterville. The township was recognized by 1685 and named for its English namesake. In 1683 Chief Tamanend conveyed the land between Pennypack and Neshaminy creeks to William Penn, and the original township split in two in 1929.
The village itself started at a crossroads known as Fetter's Corner, later Southamptonville. When the railroad arrived in the 1870s, the name was shortened to its current form and shops spread along Second Street Pike. The township still describes itself as keeping a certain small-town feeling, even after growth in the post-war years and again in the 1980s and 1990s.
That small-town feel extends to how people choose a dentist. Many people want an office that is easy to reach, gets to know the family and does not rush through explanations. We aim to be that practice for our Bucks neighbors, a few miles west in Hatboro.
Southampton Drivers, Families and Dental Emergencies
Passenger trains stopped serving the old village station on the Fox Chase-Newtown line in February 1983, and the restored building is now a private home. As a result, most trips start in a car. That makes a predictable drive more valuable than a nearby train stop, and Street Road to Jacksonville Road is about as simple as dental trips get.
The former rail bed found a new life too. The Newtown Rail Trail, about 2.5 miles of walking and biking path between County Line Road and Bristol Road, opened on April 27, 2022, and a paved path links it to Tamanend Park. Read more on the Upper Southampton Township rail trail page. Trail rides and park games bring the occasional chipped or knocked tooth, and a quick call sorts out what to do next.
Students in the Centennial School District attend William Tennent High School in Warminster, so a trip west toward Warminster is already familiar for many families. Teens weighing straighter teeth can browse our Invisalign Learning Center before a visit. Adults who need care right away can review our emergency exam special before calling.
Weekday rush hours and school drop-off or pick-up can stretch the drive, so allow some extra time for an 8:00 AM start. Churchville borders the community as well.
Urgent to Routine Care for Families Seeking a Dentist Near Southampton
Emergency Dental Care
Tooth pain relief, chipped tooth repair and jaw pain treatment are all available when something goes wrong. If you need immediate care, our team will make every effort to take care of you on the same day. Comfort options such as aromatherapy help calm a stressful visit.
IV Sedation
IV sedation lets anxious patients, or anyone facing a lengthy appointment, relax through treatment while being closely monitored. Because the medication takes time to wear off, plan for a friend or family member to drive you home.
Family Dentistry
Routine cleanings, checkups, pediatric care and gum disease treatment keep every member of a household on schedule. Halitosis care, root canals and extractions are also part of this service. Children, teens and adults are welcome.
Restorative Dentistry
When a tooth breaks beyond a simple filling, a crown can rebuild it. Bridges, dentures, implants and implant restorations replace missing teeth. A patient who starts with an emergency visit can often finish the repair in the same office.
Invisalign®
Clear aligners correct crowded or gapped teeth and bite problems for teens and adults. A consultation with digital impressions comes first. Treatment fits around school and work without metal brackets.

Between them, they cover everything from a child's first cleaning to complex restorative work.
Insurance, Membership & Financing
The office works with most major insurance plans, Aetna, UCCI and Assurant among them. Patients without insurance can join the Membership Plan, which has no deductibles and offers monthly payment options. CareCredit, all major credit cards and cash are accepted for any remaining balance.

Frequently Asked Questions
How far is Hatboro Horsham Family Dental from Southampton, and how do I get there?
The office is about 4.9 miles from the Upper Southampton Township Administration Building, roughly a 10-minute drive. Take Street Road (PA 132) northwest, then Jacksonville Road (PA 332) southwest into Hatboro, finishing on North Penn Street and East Monument Avenue. It is an easy trip for anyone wanting a dentist near Southampton who would rather skip the highway.
Can I bring my child in for a dental emergency?
Yes. Children, teens and adults are all welcome, and a child's chipped tooth or sudden toothache is treated with the same urgency as an adult's. Call as soon as it happens, keep any broken piece in milk, and our team will make every effort to take care of your child on the same day.
What should I do if my gum swells around one tooth?
Treat it as urgent and call promptly. Swelling around a single tooth can signal an infection, a trapped piece of food or a gum problem, and infections can spread if ignored. Rinse with warm salt water and avoid pressing or poking the area. If the swelling spreads to your face or you develop a fever, seek care right away.
Is there an emergency exam special?
Yes. The practice lists an emergency exam special on its website, and the terms posted there are the ones that apply. If a tooth is bothering you, call the office to find a time, then read the offer details so you know what to expect. The team can answer any questions about it when you book.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Bring your dental insurance card if you have one, a photo ID and a list of any medications you take. Notes about past dental work, sensitive teeth or worries about treatment help too. Arriving a few minutes early leaves time for paperwork, so the visit itself can start on schedule.
